Welcome to another beautiful week. This is a part of my life shared with you. If something hits home, write back. I love conversations. This is Weekly Spark #14.
Hey friend,
Late last year, I was coaching a senior leader in the Crypto space. They had moved countries, changed roles, and were in pursuit of finding their true self.
They called it ‘My Unapologetic Self’.
This week, I’ve been reflecting on this simple yet powerful idea: What does it mean to be unapologetically you?
Not the version you edit for approval. Not the version you shrink to fit in. Not the version you project to impress.
But the version of you that feels true.
👤 As an Individual
Being unapologetically yourself doesn’t mean being reckless or insensitive. It means living in alignment with your values, even if it feels uncomfortable.
It means:
Saying no when something doesn’t align.
Speaking up even if your voice shakes.
Showing your quirks instead of sanding them down.
It’s not about rejecting feedback. It’s about refusing to abandon yourself. When you stop apologising for who you are, you create space for others to do the same. And it shows up, in your relationships, your work, your life!
By the way, if you are ready to be your Unapologetic Self, in September I am launching a cohort of 6-8 men (yes, only men, for this one) to take them on a journey of being their unapologetic selves. Join us.
🤝 As a Team
Teams thrive when people don’t just bring their skills but their whole beautiful selves.
Imagine a team where:
Ideas aren’t filtered through fear.
Authentic voices are heard, not silenced.
Diversity isn’t just tolerated, it’s celebrated.
A team that’s unapologetically itself isn’t one where everyone agrees. It’s one where differences coexist, collide, and create something bigger than any one person could.
The alternative?
A team that hides. That edits. That conforms. And in that silence, innovation dies.
💬 Final Spark
To be unapologetically you is to trust that your presence is not just enough, it’s necessary.
When you live and lead unapologetically, you don’t just free yourself. You free everyone watching you.
And to live unapologetically does not mean you have to disrupt everything. It means you have to align everything. Are you ready?
So here’s my nudge this week: Where are you still apologising for being you, and what would change if you stopped?
With courage and clarity, Utkarsh (Coach | Facilitator | Advocate for Authentic Leadership)
PS - If you are a man, in your mid career, in a relationship, with or without kids, and wanting to level up and live your Unapologetic Life then take a look at this 12-week program. It will be worth it!
